What your team should expect
PDF previews do not spend credits or send a fax. Review the exact charge before confirming a send or paid submission.
Sending a referral does not create a clinical order, payer authorization or appointment. Confirm the receiving office has the information it needs for scheduling.
Uses your shared office credits: fax delivery pricing + form service fee. Review the exact total before confirming. No monthly tool subscription.
Personal-use options are for patients and authorized representatives acting for their care. Staff submitting on behalf of a practice must use the provider workflow and meet its office requirements. Send Referral has a direct signed-in path without separate office activation.
Before using protected health information, review the applicable agreement requirements and document retention policy.
Questions from provider teams
How is Send Referral different from Request PCP Referral?
Send Referral transmits an existing clinician-approved referral to a specialist. Request PCP Referral is a separate office workspace for asking a PCP to supply a missing referral, tracking follow-ups and manually reviewing replies. PCP workspace access requires office approval.
Does the receiving specialist need a FaxSeal account?
No. The recipient receives the fax through their existing fax service. Your team uses its FaxSeal account to prepare the referral and track delivery.
Missing the PCP referral instead? Set up the separate Request PCP Referral workspace โ
