Do I need a Zapier paid plan?
No. FaxSeal works on Zapier's free plan for simple two-step Zaps. Multi-step Zaps (e.g., filtering by conditions before faxing) require a Zapier paid plan. FaxSeal itself charges per fax via credits — Zapier fees are separate.
What file types can I fax via Zapier?
The "Send Fax (PDF)" action requires a publicly accessible PDF URL. The "Fax a Web Page" action accepts any URL — web pages, images (PNG, JPG), or plain text files — and converts them automatically.
How much does each fax cost?
Credit cost depends on page count: 1–5 pages = 1 credit, 6–15 pages = 2 credits, 16–30 pages = 3 credits (US/Canada). International faxes cost 2–3× more depending on destination. Credits are pre-purchased — packs start at $12.99 and never expire.
What happens if I run out of credits?
The Zap action returns an error and the fax is not sent. FaxSeal also sends you a low-credits email alert when you drop to 2 credits remaining, giving you time to top up before workflows break.
Can I fax to international numbers?
Yes. Pass the number in E.164 format (+country code + number, e.g. +442071234567). International faxes cost 2–3 credits.
Is the PDF URL required to be public?
Yes for "Send Fax (PDF)" — FaxSeal must be able to download the file. Use Google Drive shareable links, Dropbox direct links, or any CDN URL. The "Fax a Web Page" action works with any publicly accessible URL.
Can I receive faxes and process them in Zapier?
Yes. The "Fax Received" trigger fires whenever a fax arrives on your FaxSeal number. It includes the sender's number, page count, a PDF download link, and OCR-extracted text — ready to route into any Zapier workflow.
How do I get my API token?
Go to your FaxSeal dashboard → API Tokens → Connect to Zapier. One click creates your token and walks you through pasting it into Zapier's connection screen.
