Frequently asked questions
Can I fax a Gmail attachment without downloading it?
With the email-to-fax method: yes. Compose a new email, add the fax number address, and forward the attachment. With the web method, you'll need to save the file first — click the attachment → Download, then upload to FaxSeal.
What email address format do I send to?
Use the format: [email protected], where XXXXXXXXXX is the 10-digit fax number. For example, to fax (555) 123-4567, send to [email protected].
Do I need a FaxSeal account to fax from Gmail?
Only for the email-to-fax method — FaxSeal needs to link the incoming email to your account to process the fax and charge your credits. The web method (opening faxseal.com in a tab) requires no account.
What file formats work as Gmail attachments for faxing?
PDF is the most reliable. FaxSeal also accepts Word documents and common image formats. The file is automatically converted to fax-compatible format before transmission.
How do I get the delivery receipt in Gmail?
FaxSeal sends the certified SHA-256 receipt to the email address associated with your account (email method) or the email you provide at checkout (web method). It arrives as a normal email you'll find in your Gmail inbox.
Is there a limit to how many pages I can fax from Gmail?
Up to 20 pages per fax. For longer documents, split into separate faxes or use the web interface which shows page counts before you pay.
