Canadian dialing example

A number written as (416) 555-0123 can be entered as +1 416 555 0123. This is a formatting example, not a destination to send to.

Prepare your Canadian submission

For signed forms, business correspondence, or insurance documents, verify the recipient’s fax number and instructions first. Include a reference number or cover page when requested. FaxSeal transmits your document; the recipient decides whether it meets their requirements.

Questions about faxing to Canada

How do I enter a Canadian fax number?

Include the area code and local number, such as (416) 555-0123, or use the international format +1 416 555 0123. Canada shares the +1 country code with the US. Use the fax number published by the recipient; these examples are for formatting only.

Does Canada cost extra?

Canada uses the same destination pricing as the US. The total depends on document length and is shown before payment. There is no international destination surcharge for Canadian numbers.

Are prices in Canadian dollars?

No. Checkout charges US dollars (USD). Your bank may convert the charge to Canadian dollars and apply its own currency conversion or foreign transaction fees.

Do I need an account or subscription?

No. You can use pay-per-fax checkout without an account or monthly subscription. Prepaid credits are also available if you send regularly.

What does delivery confirmation prove?

Delivery confirmation records a successful fax transmission to the destination equipment. It does not prove that a person read the document or that an organization accepted it. Confirm submission requirements directly with the recipient.

What happens if my fax fails?

For pay-per-fax checkout, your card is authorized before sending and charged on successful delivery. If delivery fails, the authorization is released. Your bank determines how long a pending authorization remains visible.

Can I send from outside Canada?

Yes. You can send to a Canadian fax number from your browser without being physically in Canada. Use the recipient’s full +1 number. The recipient does not need a FaxSeal account.
